Wow, so much going on in my life. I do not even have time to reflect my actions to see if everything I do right now is good for me. But as I have some minutes to think about it now, I see it's better to be not thinking about it. Sometimes all you need is floating away in easiness. And enjoying a giant lollipop in a messy outfit right outside on the streets so everybody can look at you and say: "Wow, look at that freak!"

I've been so f***ing absent... And I do not even have an excuse. Normally I would lie and tell you guys I've been busy with studying and stuff but actually I had a really boring time. I'm bored out of my mind! My semester in Belgium is finally over by tomorrow and I didn't do a thing here. I had no exams and to be honest I didn't even bother to go to the university anymore after christmas.
Since I'm broke, too, this month was the most boring month I have ever experienced in my life.

However, I'm heading back to Germany on Saturday and I cannot wait! I already made plans for the evening with Isa and some other plans for the following week. But in spite of that the next weeks seem quite boring, too. University is not starting yet and my job is only in March. My lovely best friend is going to visit me at the end of February but I really do need to give myself some kind of project.
I'm thinking about painting my room. Maybe purple. What colour would you choose?

Now some stuff I did buy for myself instead of food which seemed like a good investment.

Both from New Look which is something I will really miss about Antwerp.

Now that is one ambitious plan. Wearing one dress for a whole year! I don't believe I could ever do that. after 2 months I
1. would be sick of the dress and
2. couldn't make up any new combinations and would send my creativity to hell.

In addition to the incredible idea to show what you can do with only one dress if you do not have much money to spend, it is also a fundraiser for the Akanksha Foundation, a grassroots movement that is revolutionizing education in India.

We crazy people thought it would be a nice idea to go to the sea in November. After 10 minutes it was raining as hell but I still got myself a beautiful shell and we took some pictures before escaping into a café. I made fun of the others because I was the only one who brought an umbrella which broke ten seconds after I had laughed at the others...

Afterwards we drove back to Antwerp to get something to eat. We went to this really small and cute tapas bar and had lots of great tapas and spanish wine.
We should've taken a picture before we ate everything but we were quite hungry and forgot. :D

Right now it is still raining and I cannot pull myself together to go to the gym. Which I really should. I hate being so lazy...

Went to my first real party in Belgium yesterday. We had some pre-drinks at a friend's house and wanted to go to a club but it already was full so we went to another one which was (surprisingly) a gay club. So much fun! One guy with a Louis Vuitton bag was just coming over to me, touching my hair and telling me how much he loved it. :D Sooo great!

I am finally there! After a lot of tears and packing cases I'm sitting in my room, drinking coffee from my new Senseo coffee machine and deciding what to wear to class today.
I think I haven't spoken about it yet but I have relatives here in Belgium which made it much easier for me to get a room and everything. So I started my Erasmus stay at my grandma's. She lives in such an old, almost creepy house. Nothing has changed since I can remember and somehow you always feel watched.

Yesterday I finally got into my new room in Antwerp and I love it! It's not totally pretty but really cute and I did a lot to make it cosier.
Then I started to explore the city and found some cool stores. And one where I will buy every shoe they have! Too bad I forgot the name of the store...

So in about an hour I will head to my first Dutch class and I was really nervous before. But yesterday at the registration I saw how poor the Dutch of some other German girls was. :D Now there is nothing to worry about.

I've been busy with working the last days. I spent some days in Leipzig with my family but didn't see much of them because I worked at a fair, the Games Convention Online. And yes, there are freaks, lots and lots of freaks in World of Warcraft costumes and stuff. But it still was fun, watching a 'Guitar Hero' contest and 'Human Bowling' (human in big ball gets pushed into the pins):

Myself was working in the business area - not so fun - but let's say I was queen of the newspapers. ;)

On my way back home I realized how beautiful the MANGO store in the Leipzig central station is. I've been there a couple of times but this weekend it really hit me.

Today was laundry day which means that I do not have any good clothes left. Solution? Shopping! Of course I wanted only some new tights and a nice, clean shirt but I came back with a new bag (stylish AND perfect for my laptop), two pairs of shoes, a shirt, sunglasses and 3 different types of tights.

When I started to unpack in my room I realised I do not have any space left for my shoes. They are under my bed, my bookshelfs, my dresser... everywhere!
So now I started to put them ON my bookshelfs, ... Since I live in an apartment in an old building with really high walls, now I still have some extra space.

I forgot my hair straightener at my parents house when I visited them last week. So now my hair is a complete mess. If it would be longer there would be no problem, but with my cut it's curling in 20 different directions and I look like I'm really into the "out of bed"-look.

I'm beginning to like the stress, somehow I got used to it. Sitting at 11 pm at home and having everything done feels wrong. :D
But now I have time to write about my last weeks.
It was my birthday! I went to Hamburg to celebrate it worthily and I had so much fun! After eating and drinking and dancing we went home at 7 in the morning but then stopped by a playground. Loved it. :]

Woke up this morning and was mad at the weather already. Sunny but so windy - hate it! You think you can go outside, drink a coffee and enjoy the day, and all you can do is freezing and be angry at the wind...
So before I even got out of the house I decided to be emo today... :D And took my emo-est outfit out of the closet. (I even made the picture more emo with photoshop. ;])

After university a friend and I decided to reward ourselves with some new clothes because we listened to one whole lecture. :D
That's how I like school.

Got some casual new chucks since my old ones are really fucked up now and sometimes a toe looks out. :D These are not original converse chucks. I love them but I don't see the point in buying shoes for 60 euros which break in only some months...

Found this dress at H&M and wasn't really convinced but as soon as it was on me I saw how it perfectly hides my fat belly. :D Of course couldn't resist then...
I also like the flounces so much.

I absolutely adore this dress but I'm still thinking about how to make it more casual. Do you guys have any ideas?

Got a little 80ies-revival there. Found it and got my colorful but emo-ish side back again, can't always shake it off I guess.

I also adore this back, dunno why. :D By the way: Have I ever shown you my tattoo? Well, there it is.

I think you might have noticed my piercing, too. I'm thinking about taking it out since I'm becoming 21 this weekend and starting to feel a little too mature for it. Yet I think I would miss something like my face is not complete. What do you think?...

Excuse me for being so horribly absent. I was just so occupied with university stuff, organising my Erasmus stay in Antwerp, preparing for my intermediate examination, theatre rehearsals, some family stuff, and of course some fun trips to Hamburg and Berlin.

After some time adjusting to the idea I finally got some fringe boots, still a little rock 'n roll and I love them!
I wanted to show them around and get beautiful pictures while I'm partying in Hamburg but we didn't even make it there (bad, bad booze).

Finally, I made some boots pictures while I was waiting for the bus the next morning. Dressed all in black, with hot pants and high heels, I got a lot of weird stares on my way back home.

I have started my fasting cure yesterday and I already am sick of it! Being smart as always I planned the whole event on a week where I have absolutely nothing important to do, so I cannot be distracted by mom's food or friend's booze.
Downside of it? I can think about food and booze 24/7.
Until now I read one book, 5 magazines, watched 4 movies and annoyed my roommate for about an hour. Then a brilliant idea crossed my mind: "Why don't you watch 'Germany's Next Topmodel' online? 12 skinny girls running around in underwear should stop your appetite."

Guess what! They shooted a commercial for.... chocolate!
The whole universe is against me.

My solution for that?
I ordered some things at H&M online today that should be here by next week. I commanded myself to send ALL things back, if I quit my fasting cure.
After ordering all that stuff I realised that if I haven't got enough discipline to get my diet done, I will definitely NOT have enough discipline to send back all those beautiful clothes.

Conclusion: I'll get broke AND fat. But with nice dresses.

Sorry for being so absent but after spending some time in Hamburg I was working on an exhibition in Hannover, the CeBIT, which made me literally ill. So after partying and working my body just broke down and signalised me I should slow down for just a second.
So now I am really ill, I'm looking terrible with a pale face and a big red nose, and I'm lying in bed all day. Except for yesterday night when I went to a concert. The fabulous Jason Mraz sang and danced and made jokes and it was a completely wonderful night until I went to bed and realised that from all the singing and jubilating my voice became a complete mess. So now I am all alone at home and even cannot call anyone because I do not have a voice coming out of me.
At least, the adorable Gilmore Girls haven't left me yet so all I am doing is eating soup and watching TV. Sounds great, but after some time you really want to do something...

I'm finally done with all my exams (for now) and can spend more time with all the favourite things that didn't fit in my crammed timetable.
This morning I wanted to sleep as long as possible but of course I still had my rhythm so I woke up way too early. Optimistically seen, now I have a complete day for all the things I wanted to do for weeks.
So, here's my timetable for today (much more fun than all the other timetables I had!):

go running
take a shower
get a big breakfast
clean my room
get a cute valentines card for my parents
read and read and read the books I want to read (and nothing about linguistic meanings or Information Retrieval)
go to the singing rehearsal for our new theatre play and eat a self-baked cake with pleasure
light some candles and take a long, relaxing bath before going to bed

Does not sound so much fun? Well, I'm really looking forward to all those things. I'm a freak, I know.

Btw: I went to IKEA some days ago and we got us a completely new living room that's worth sitting in and spending time in it. Photos to follow.

This morning I was totally surprised by the new H&M catalogue with these wonderful pastel spring colours which was waiting for me in my postbox. I will definitly get this cute skirt and the shirt-blouse dress:

There are some gorgeous shoes but I do not know whether I should get them in black or in beige. I do have lots of black shoes but what I like about this in particular is the contrast between the dark straps and the bright wood. Anyway, with spring coming, I maybe should get something more light-coloured. What do you think?

I would love to get both but I need to deal with my money carefully this month as I have to go to hairdresser (back to blonde, darling!) and to IKEA as well...
By the way, have you heard of the home collection H&M wanted to make? I read about it in several magazines but never saw anything directly at the H&M site although it should be out right now in february. Maybe they should hire new advertising employees...

Today I had my first exams of the year and I really have to say: In those moments I would love to be like Rory Gilmore from the Gilmore Girls. This girl manages it somehow to learn about 15 hours a day, have a rollercoaster relationship with a gorgeous, rich boy and to visit her mom back in Stars Hollow to eat and eat and eat, without any hint of fat on her body. My assumption is the enormous quantity of coffee this girl drinks which makes her body vibrate, even when she's sleeping (if she can sleep, after all this coffee).

In contrast to that, I do not learn anything for weeks to be all upset for the last days before the exam, learning, quitting sleeping and drinking coffee en masse. I go into exams knowing that I could be so much better if I was only able to manage my time more efficiently.
So guess how my day went: After four hours of sleep (I could not fall asleep for hours because I was too worried to oversleep) I rushed into two exams, got a headache, forgot to eat and had a horrible theatre rehearsal due to the fact that I was exhausted and could not stand all this giggling girls.
At least I was wearing a cute student outfit which I did not take a picture of, busy, busy bee. Next time I'm wearing it there will be a huge photosession just for you.

Anyway I do not want to leave you picture-less, so here is a internship outfit from some weeks ago:

so, last night (actually it is still this night, i haven't got to bed yet) i went to a party which required evening dresses so i put on a little sweet dress with tulle and got my highest heels out of the closet. i spent the night with too many cocktails and way too bad music looking around for nice guys. there has actually been one guy that really interested me, he had this original way of styling and a gorgeous smile but i could have gone naked as well and he wouldn't have recognised me at all. half an hour later, i saw him with this perfect looking chick flipping through her perfect blonde hair and holding his arms around her perfect body and i just knew it:

i am just a girl next door.

what am i going to do? i guess i figure that out tomorrow when i'm not full of cuba libres...
